Terms and conditions
Last updated 13 August 2026
These terms govern every order placed on this site. They are written to be read, not to be got past — if anything here is unclear, write to us before you order and we will answer in plain language.

The registration numbers above appear on this page and nowhere else on the site. That is deliberate: they are published because Danish e-commerce law requires a trader to identify itself, not because they are marketing material.
2. What we sell, and what we do not
- We sell cups only — things you drink out of, plus a small number of items that look after them. No plates, no bowls for food, no serving dishes, no vases, no ornaments.
- Every drinking vessel here is a food contact article and is sold with a supplier Declaration of Compliance on file.
- Coasters, brushes and cloths are not food contact articles and are labelled as such on their product pages.
- We sell our own product line. We do not resell other studios' work and we do not act as an agent for individual ceramicists.
- We are a retailer of consumer tableware. We do not offer engraving, personalisation or any made-to-order service, which is why every item here carries the full 14-day right of withdrawal.
Orders may only be placed by someone aged 18 or over, or by a minor with the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts responsibility for the order.
3. Prices, currency and tax
- All prices are shown in Danish kroner (DKK) and include 25% Danish moms (VAT). Current range: DKK 55–345.
- Delivery is charged separately and is also shown including moms. It is displayed before you commit to anything.
- The total shown on the details page, including delivery, is the total you pay. We add no card surcharge, no handling fee and no service fee of any kind.
- Orders shipped outside the EU may attract import duty and local tax in the destination country. Those are charged by that country’s authorities, not by us, and are the recipient’s responsibility. See delivery.
- If a price is displayed incorrectly through an obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than supply at the wrong price. We will tell you promptly if that happens.
4. How an order is made
- You add cups to a basket. Nothing is reserved at this stage.
- You enter your name, email, telephone and delivery address, and confirm you have read these terms and the privacy policy.
- You are shown the goods total, the delivery charge, the amount of moms inside that total, the expected dispatch time, your 14-day right of withdrawal and your two-year right to complain — before you go any further.
- You continue to payment. Card details are entered with the payment provider, never on this site — see payment security. We accept Dankort, Visa, Mastercard, American Express.
- A contract exists when we send you an order confirmation by email. Until then we may decline an order — for example if a cup is out of stock or the address cannot be served.
5. Delivery
- We pack within one working day of a confirmed order.
- Denmark, tracked parcel: DKK 45, 1–3 working days. Free on orders over DKK 600.
- Sweden, Norway, Finland: DKK 89, 3–6 working days.
- Rest of the EU: DKK 119, 4–8 working days.
- Ceramic is fragile and travels in single-cup cushioned boxes. Breakage in transit, and how to report it, is set out on the delivery page.
6. Promotions and reference prices
Danish marketing law (Markedsføringsloven) requires that a struck-through price has a real basis. Ours do, and we print the basis next to the price rather than leaving it implied.
- Free delivery threshold. Free standard delivery within Denmark on orders over DKK 600 including moms, calculated on the goods total after any discount. The threshold is stated in the header on every page.
- First-order code. Where we issue one, it applies once per customer, to goods only, and cannot be combined with another code. Its value and expiry are stated on the code itself.
- Set prices. A set is compared only against the current single-item prices of the same goods on this site. For the Morning Set the reference is DKK 325: Everyday Mug 300 ml (DKK 165) + Cork Coaster Set of 4 (DKK 95) + Cup Brush Soft (DKK 65), at their current single-item prices on this site. A set that costs more than its parts — because of a box, for instance — is shown with no reference price at all.
- Email list. Joining our email list is free. It is not a membership, not a subscription and nothing recurring is ever charged. We do not sell a subscription of any kind, including a cup-of-the-month box.
7. Your rights
Two separate rights apply, and they are not alternatives:
- Right of withdrawal — 14 days. Under Forbrugeraftaleloven you may withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, for any reason at all. Everything we sell is a standard product, so nothing here falls under the made-to-order exception — including gift sets, which we do not engrave or personalise.
- Right to complain — 2 years. Under Købeloven you have two years to complain about a fault that was present when the goods were handed over. This is a separate right and is not affected by the 14 days above.
8. Materials, food safety and use
Every drinking vessel we sell is a food contact article under Regulation (EU) No 1935/2004 and is covered by a supplier Declaration of Compliance held on file, which we will send you on request. Ceramic articles are tested against the lead and cadmium migration limits in Council Directive 84/500/EEC. Microwave and dishwasher suitability is stated per item, and items carrying a metallic lustre decoration are marked as unsuitable for a microwave without exception. Full detail: materials and safety.
Because each piece is finished by hand, dimensions vary by up to ±5% and glazes vary between firings. Those variations are characteristics of the process and are not faults.
9. Cooling figures
We publish a measured cooling reading for every cup. It is a comparison between our own cups under one stated set of conditions, and it is not a performance claim: ceramic has no vacuum layer and none of these cups are insulated products. The method, and what it cannot tell you, is on how we measure cooling.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Danish law, nor our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, nor for fraud. Subject to that, our liability in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
11. Complaints and disputes
Write to support@unikakceramics.shop first — most things are settled that way. If we cannot agree, you can take the matter to the Danish complaint bodies or the EU online dispute resolution platform. Addresses and links are on complaints and dispute resolution.
12. Governing law
These terms and any contract made under them are governed by the law of Denmark. As a consumer you keep the protection of any mandatory rules of the country in which you live.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, and the date at the top of this page tells you which that is.
