A shallow, wide body with a 95 mm rim, which gives a milk pour somewhere to spread. It is the easiest cup here to pour latte art into and the hardest to carry full, because the surface is wide and close to the top.

Cooling: 95 °C down to 68 °C in ten minutes

27 degrees over ten minutes. Ceramic has no vacuum layer. A thicker wall cools more slowly than a thin one, and that is the whole of the effect — none of these cups keep a drink hot the way a vacuum flask does.

Measured with 95 °C water in a 20 °C room, uncovered and undisturbed, temperature read at the centre of the liquid after 10 minutes.

How to use it

Microwave: Suitable.
Dishwasher: Suitable. 84 mm tall, 95 mm across — check that against your basket.
Temperature: Avoid sudden temperature changes. Do not pour boiling water into a cold cup straight from the fridge, and do not move a hot cup into cold water — ceramic can crack from thermal shock.
Variation: Each cup is finished by hand, so dimensions vary by up to ±5% and no two glazes are identical. Variation in colour, glaze pooling and small surface pinholes are characteristics of the process, not faults.
